Concrete Mixer Truck Driver

In February 2000, Simon Contractors acquired Milestone Redi-Mix in Sidney, Nebraska. Under Simon Contractors, Milestone Redi-Mix has continued to flourish as a concrete products contractor and supplier in the Sidney area and across the state of Nebraska.
We are currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of:
CONCRETE MIXER TRUCK DRIVER

Summary: Drives truck equipped with auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:
Daily performs a pre and post-trip safety check on equipment and truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required.
Drives truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer.
Drives truck to location for unloading. Ensures conditions at job site are safe.
Assembles chute and attaches to truck; operates levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete.
Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck using water hose and hoe.
May spray surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete.
Observes safety rules and regulations; assists work crews as required. Wears personal protective equipment as required by company policy.
Requirements:
Minimum of one year of commercial driving experience required.
Minimum of CDL-B and clean driving history
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
